Hospitalito Atitl?n is a small community hospital, serving a population of 40,000+ inhabitants (principally Tzutujil Maya), of Santiago Atitl?n and surrounding towns, on the southern side of beautiful Lake Atitl?n in the southern highlands of Guatemala. Re-opened only in April of 2005, after 15 years of being closed, it provides the only 24 hour emergency care within a distance of 2 or 3 hours (Solol? or Mazatenango). We also provide a wide range of services, such as outpatient clinics, surgeries, x ray + ultrasound, and onsite laboratory.
We seek to improve the quality of life of the population by offering emergency as well as preventive and curative care, without discrimination, provided by national and international medical professionals. |
